Please go to my new blog - http://www.thecolorfulbee.com. All of my new and past blogposts will be on there. I am no longer posting on Blogger.

In answering your question - you can paint right over the burlap - any color etc. The clearcoat that I used on mine was VarnishPlus from Faux Effexts (located in Florida). On my client's burlap inserts, after the carpenters glue, I clearcoated with ColorSeal from Faux Effects - then I glazed the burlap. You need to clearcoat first (and you can use any clear Polyurethane product from Ben Moore or Sheriwn Williams etc). It needs to have that protection or else it will not look good - the product will just unevenly stain the burlap otherwise). I hope this helps. Please come visit me at my new site!

LindaLindahttp://www.thecolorfulbee.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9197757595431621152.post-31168547961089622682012-11-08T11:56:28.767-05:002012-11-08T11:56:28.767-05:00What do you use for the clear top coat over the bu...What do you use for the clear top coat over the burlap once you have used the carpenters glue to glue it on?Leslie Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17367316277766716136noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9197757595431621152.post-83442460384270372062012-11-08T11:54:07.842-05:002012-11-08T11:54:07.842-05:00What did you use for the clear top coat?
